In the years of local train journey we make many friends, we share our joy, laughter, sorrow with each other during this journey. Many of us express social issues from bottom of our heart, debate, show our concern , help in own ways, it can be about environment like waste of water , excessive use of Plastic, spitting in public, it can be about old age, differently abled people, also about child & girl education, women being self independent many thoughts & many discussions take place while you cross stations in the journey.

A thought was conceived in my mind about working together for a cause , that thought became first step to form NGO where many likeminded will come together & work for a cause. Thus I became We & Urjaa Foundation was formed on July, 3 , 2015. When you contribute together , the happiness on many faces will give satisfaction too many. With this we started with baby steps , firmed up our broad Objectives. Consistently working for the set objectives , utilising our own capabilities, skillsets for the society, devote time from your own space, contribute, knowledge, money, energy & work putting your sleevs up head down became unspoken rule for all our Urjaaians. We met , keep meeting good People in this journey where many volunteers became part of Urjaa.

Extremely happy to be a part of Urjaa Foundation which has given me a platform to follow my passion. It's the most beautiful thing that has happened to me. Making someone else happy, or bringing more happiness n learning in someone else's life can be an experience worth cherishing.

Urjaa has taught me that one should cherish n be happy with what we have as not all people are blessed with the things we are enjoying.

I joined Urjaa because it gave me a way to work for society. And I find that we are growing in personal capacity with our organization.

Working with Urjaa Foundation has been a very enlightening and inspiring experience. I realized that there are many small things that can be done to contribute to child’s basic right to education, enrichment of elderly and mentally challenged people, women empowerment, to create financial literacy and most importantly to save environment especially from Plastic Evil. I am member of Urjaa Foundation from year 2016 & respect all its objectives . मला ऊर्जा फाउंडेशन मुळे जीवनात खरा आनंद काय असतो हे कळलं. आपण स्वतः साठी खूप काही करत असतो पण समाजासाठी काही करण्यात जो आनंद मिळतो तो शब्दात सांगता येणार नाही. ऊर्जा मुळे मला जिवाभावाच्या मैत्रिणी मिळाल्या, खूप काही शिकता आले.

ऊर्जा फाऊंडेशन हयाचा उद्देश शहरातील प्लास्टिक पुर्णपणे नाहिसे व्हावे हा होता. पण तो उद्देश तेवढ्यावर न राहता. गावातील मुलांना चांगल्याप्रकारे शिक्षण मिळावे म्हणून त्यांच्यासाठी ज्ञानयज्ञ उभा केला. तसेच वृध्दाश्रमात जाऊन आजी-आजोबांन बरोबर गप्पा मारणे, खेळ खेळणे व गरजूंना मदत करणे.

I have been associated with Urjaa since the beginning and the journey has been evolving. We started off by trying to cut down on the use of plastic and then took keen interest in helping the schools with the basic requirements for children. Now we are encouraging the home-makers to be financially independent and getting business opportunities for them. These initiatives will help benefit the society and we can grow together.

मला नेहमी वाटायचं की ,आपण समाजासाठी काहीतरी कार्य करावे आणि मी ऊर्जा फाऊंडेशन मध्ये सहभागी झाले.
ऊर्जा शहरातील लोकांना प्लाटिक कमी कमी वापरा आणि वापरलेल्या प्लाटिक चांगल्याप्रकारे विल्हेवाट लावा, तसेच गरजु महिलांकडून कापडी पिशव्या शिवून घेणे , खेड्यातील विद्यार्थ्यांना शिक्षणासाठी मदत हे सर्व कार्य करतात मनाला खूप समाधान वाटत.

ऊर्जा मुळे मला खुप छान मैत्रीणी मिळाल्या.

आपण सर्वजण समाजाचं देणं लागतो आणि ते उत्तम रित्या पार पाडण्याचं काम ऊर्जा करते त्याच्या विविध प्रकल्पातून.

ऊर्जा बरोबर काम करत असताना असीम आनंद मिळतो .त्याच बरोबर प्रत्येक जण माणूस म्हणून घडत जातो. उर्जा बरोबर असल्याने माझे व्यक्तिमत्त्व समृद्ध झाले.

The experiences I have gained over the years, has taught me that education is the only thing that can help a person to rise. It is not the rank or smartness that count. In our individual journey of life, what counts the most is to go to bed every single night a little wiser. The motto is to learn the method of learning.

Urjaa Foundation, was introduced to me by train friend where very first objective discussed was Education & I immediately said, Yes, I am in.
